One open table, at home and on the road
Two projects, one table. The Podcast is the table at home: one episode, told in two parts. The Talk is the table on the road, held in person by the places that host it. Both are in development, and both are built on the same vow.
Open Table Podcast
The table at home · one episode, two parts
In development
The window between the two parts is the part that does not exist anywhere else: the audience sets the second conversation's agenda before it is recorded, so Part 2 answers the room rather than us.
To meet the person
The first conversation is for meeting the guest, before the heavier ground.
For the heavier ground
The second goes to the heavier ground, carrying the questions the window brought back.
Open Table Talk
The table on the road · held by local Tables
In development
A Table is not an event we bring to a place. It is constituted by the place: named for it, run with it, and holding a seat on the Board that judges our work.
No stage, no audience
No platform to be given and no front row to be picked from. Everyone who comes sits at the table.
Local Tables
Each Table is named for the place that holds it, and holds a seat on the Community Advisory Board as it forms.
What both tables share.
Neither project chases an algorithm, and neither one is built to bait a click. Both are made in the open, answer to the same Community Advisory Board, and hold to the same vow: we do not vow truth, we vow honesty — our conduct, our openness, our word.
Dates join the board as each thing becomes real, never before. Season one is in the making, and the channel opens with the first episodes.
